SCALSOL 2012

2nd Workshop on Scalable Solutions for GreenIT

December 18, 2012, Changzhou, China.

Deadline extended: October 10, 2012 (see the main conference Website (SCALCOM 2012)

Welcome

The International Workshop on Scalable Solutions for GreenIT (SCALSOL'2012) will be held, on its second edition, in Changzhou, China. The workshop is organized in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Scalable Computing and Communication (SCALCOM-2012) annual international conference dedicated to all aspects of scalability in computing and communication. Technically sponsored by IEEE TCSC Technical Area in Green Computing (TAGC).

Workshop scope

Energy-efficiency is one of the most important issues in nowadays computing and communication systems. Due to the importance of power and energy consumption in these systems, various techniques have been investigated and developed. However, the importance of the topic claims for new solutions able to improve performances and to cope with increasing workload demand. Moreover, the solutions should be able to preserve or even increase its efficiency when the number of resources increases.
The aim of this workshop is to create a thriving atmosphere to exchange new ideas, proposing real practical solutions and discussing on challenges in scalable solutions for energy-efficiency in large-scale parallel and distributed systems, information technologies and communication.

Workshop objectives

The main objective of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in addressing challenging issues related to scalable solutions for power and energy consumption optimization in large-scale parallel and distributed computing, information technology and communication systems. The workshop covers all energy-efficient related topics of scalable solutions.
